How to Use: Athdom P 5 mg/250 mg Suspension contains two medicines: Domperidone and Paracetamol. Domperidone is an antiemetic that works on the vomiting center in the brain. It also increases the movement of the muscles of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. This prevents nausea and vomiting caused due to migraines. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer) which blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause the pain associated with migraine.
Safety Advice: - Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Athdom P 5 mg/250 mg Suspension is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Athdom P 5 mg/250 mg Suspension is recommended. However, dose adjustments may be required in severe kidney disease. Please consult with your child's doctor before giving the medicine to your child. - Liver : CAUTION - Athdom P 5 mg/250 mg Suspension should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Athdom P 5 mg/250 mg Suspension may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, the use of Athdom P 5 mg/250 mg Suspension is not recommended in children with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
