Betaderm Plus Lotion

Introduction: In Treatment of Dermatitis Betaderm Plus Lotion helps manage the symptoms of dermatitis such as dry, itchy, swollen, red, and painful skin with a burning sensation. It has a soothing effect on the skin and gives relief from itching. Betaderm Plus Lotion also has antiseptic property and thus prevents any infection in the affected area. Apply Betaderm Plus Lotion to the affected area usually up to 3-4 times a day or as directed by your doctor. You may see results after 2-3 weeks however, it may vary from person to person as well as on the severity of the condition.

Benefits: This medicine is for external use only. Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Shake it well and apply to the area evenly.

Description: Betaderm Plus Lotion is a combination medicine used in the treatment of skin infections or dermatitis. It prevents the growth of microorganisms that cause the infection. It also relieves pain, irritation, and itchiness of the skin. Betaderm Plus Lotion is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. A thin layer of the medicine should be applied only to the affected areas of the skin with clean and dry hands. If it gets into your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina rinse with water. It may take several days to weeks for your symptoms to improve, but you should keep using this medicine regularly. The course of the treatment should be completed to ensure better efficacy of the medicine. If your condition does not improve or gets worse, you should talk to your doctor. The most common side effects of this medicine are dryness, itchiness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. These are usually self-limiting. Serious side effects are rare. You must consult the doctor if you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.). Drink plenty of water and apply moisturizing cream or lotion to cope up with the side effects. Before using this medicine, it is important to tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines for the same disease or other diseases. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should take this medicine with proper consultation and caution. How to Use: Betaderm Plus Lotion is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Zinc Sulfate. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Zinc Sulfate works as an astringent and antiseptic on the skin.

Safety Advice: If you miss a dose of Betaderm Plus Lotion, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
