Introduction: In Migraine Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet is a combination of medicines that treat and prevent migraine headaches. It changes the electrical activity in the brain, blocks chemicals responsible for pain sensation, and also blocks signals that cause nausea/vomiting associated with migraines. By preventing and reducing the frequency of migraine headaches, it can help you carry out your daily activities and have a better quality of life.

Description: Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet is used in the treatment of migraine. It prevents pain signals and fever associated with migraine. It also blocks certain substances in the brain that trigger nausea or vomiting during migraine headaches. Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are restlessness and tiredness. These are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It may also cause drowsiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness. Migraine attacks can be managed by identifying migraine-causing triggers which may be red wine, caffeine withdrawal, stress, and skipped meals, etc. You can identify personal triggers by maintaining a diary of what you are doing, what you are eating, and any stressful activity that happened before a migraine attack. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have any kidney diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you.

How to Use: Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Metoclopramide and Paracetamol. Metoclopramide is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. This prevents nausea and vomiting caused due to migraine. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and fever associated with migraine.

Safety Advice: - Alcohol : UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet. - Pregnancy : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. - Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. - Driving : UNSAFE - Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet may cause drowsiness, dizziness, dyskinesia and dystonias which could affect the vision and may interfere with the ability to drive. - Kidney : CAUTION - Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. - Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If Missed: If you miss a dose of Cepar 5mg/500mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
