Along with taking Cetmet Acc Tablet, gargling with warm salt water and having ginger or honey can help you manage dry cough.

The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are nausea, upset stomach, dryness in mouth, fatigue, and allergic reaction. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine can also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness. Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. Keep it out of reach of children. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.
How to Use: Cetmet Acc Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, dextromethorphan and cetirizine which relieve dry cough. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Please consult your doctor. - Driving : UNSAFE - Cetmet Acc Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. - Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Cetmet Acc Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Cetmet Acc Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. - Liver : UNSAFE - Cetmet Acc Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
If Missed: If you miss a dose of Cetmet Acc Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
