Introduction: In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

Benefits: Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

Description: Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet is a combination of medicines used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It also helps to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack. Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet should be taken with food preferably in the morning to avoid frequent urination at night. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor’s advice while taking this medicine. Glucose intolerance, ankle swelling, headache, tiredness, and decreased potassium level are some common side effects of this medicine. Consult your doctor If any of these bother you, or get worse, or do not go away. Drink plenty of fluids while taking medicine to overcome muscle weakness, dry mouth, and extreme thirst. Dizziness or headache may occur due to low blood pressure, hence rise slowly from sitting position or avoid driving. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking especially those used to treat high blood pressure or heart conditions. You should have your blood pressure, kidney function, level of electrolytes, and blood sugar level checked regularly to make sure that this medicine is working properly.

How to Use: Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cilnidipine and chlorthalidone which lower blood pressure effectively. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker which relaxes blood vessels and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Safety Advice: - Alcohol : UNSAFE - Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol. - Pregnancy : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor. - Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Information regarding the use of Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor. - Driving : UNSAFE - Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. - Kidney : CAUTION - Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet is not recommended in these patients. - Liver : CAUTION - Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

If Missed: If you miss a dose of Ciledge CT 12.5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
