It stops the growth of bacteria causing infection and helps relieve pain, swelling, redness, itching or irritation in the eyes or ear. Make sure you complete the full course of treatment. This will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning. In Treatment of Bacterial eye infections Dexachlor 0.1% Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of two medicines that help to treat eye infections caused by bacteria. Chloramphenicol, an active ingredient of this medicine, kills and stops the growth of the bacteria that is causing the infection. Dexamethasone on the other hand, helps relieve symptoms such as pain, redness, itching or soreness caused due to eye infections. This will make it easier for you to go about your daily activities. Use it as prescribed to get the most benefit. This medicine will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning. If you see no improvement even after a week, talk to your doctor.

How to Use: Dexachlor 0.1% Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of two medicines: Chloramphenicol and Dexamethasone. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth in the eye/ear by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by the bacteria to carry out vital functions. Dexamethasone is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye/ear red, swollen and itchy.

If Missed: If you miss a dose of Dexachlor 0.1% Eye/Ear Drops, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
