Introduction: In Nausea Emtop OD 30mg/4mg Tablet blocks the action of chemicals in the body that can make you feel or be sick. It is often used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused due to some medicines or cancer treatment. This medicine helps you recover more comfortably from cancer treatments such as radiation therapy or chemotherapy. It is also effective at preventing nausea and vomiting after an operation (in adults only). The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but always take this medicine as it is prescribed.

Description: Emtop OD 30mg/4mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines which is used in the treatment of nausea and vomiting. It is used only when prescribed by a doctor. This medicine works by controlling the acidity and altering the chemicals in the brain that trigger nausea or vomiting. Emtop OD 30mg/4mg Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Take it on an empty stomach, but try taking it at a fixed time each day. Remember you should not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor. In case you vomit within one hour of taking a dose, then take another dose and avoid heavy meals throughout the day. Before taking this medicine, it is better to inform your doctor if you have any liver disease as the dose of your medicine may need adjustment. Your doctor may regularly monitor your liver enzymes, especially when the medicine is prescribed for a long time. It is a well-tolerated and safe medicine and has a very low incidence of any harmful effects. But, it may cause certain side effects like constipation, stomach pain, fatigue, headache, flatulence, and flushing of skin. However, these are temporary and usually resolve on their own. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you. This medicine may cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help prevent dehydration. However, it is better to consult your doctor if you get watery diarrhea with fever or stomach pain that does not go away. Dizziness and sleepiness may also occur, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.

How to Use: Emtop OD 30mg/4mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pantoprazole and Ondansetron. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Ondansetron is an antiemetic (anti-nausea medicine). It inhibits the action of serotonin, a chemical messenger that can trigger nausea and vomiting.

Safety Advice: If you miss a dose of Emtop OD 30mg/4mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
