Introduction: In Immunoglobulins deficiency Gamma I.V. 500mg Injection strengthens or boost the immune system and lower the risk of infection in persons with a weakened immune system. It works by producing antibodies against foreign substances thereby fighting against infection. It is also used to increase the blood count (platelets) in persons with a certain blood disorder (idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura-ITP). This helps stop bleeding and promote the formation of blood clots.

Description: Gamma I.V. 500mg Injection is used to strengthen the body's natural immune system to lower the risk of infection in persons with weakened immune system. It is made from healthy human blood that has a high level of certain defensive substances (antibodies), which help fight infections. Gamma I.V. 500mg Injection has been shown to be effective in preventing infections in bone marrow transplant patients more than 20 years of age in the first 100 days post-transplant. It is used in the treatment of patients where antibody-forming capacity is severely impaired thereby subjecting them to a greater risk of infections. Gamma I.V. 500mg Injection gives you antibodies that your body is not making on its own so you can fight infections. Both children and adults can have this therapy. It is administered as an injection. Your doctor will monitor you for some time after the administration of Gamma I.V. 500mg Injection to check for any side effects. Gamma I.V. 500mg Injection may sometimes cause side effects like back pain, chills, flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk), dizziness, headache, nausea, decreased blood pressure, and muscle pain. If you get any of these, or other side effects, or just feel unwell, you should tell your doctor. There may be ways of preventing or reducing these effects. Before using it, you should tell your doctor if you have any problems with blood clotting and if you have recently had, or plan to have, a vaccination. It is not known whether this medicine is completely safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding so please take advice from your doctor.

How to Use: Immune globulin belongs to class of agents called immunostimulants. It works by producing antibodies against foreign substances thereby fighting against infection.
