Introduction: In Treatment of Pain due to smooth muscle spasm Hikin Injection effectively relieves smooth muscle pain, stiffness or spasm, thereby improving muscle movement. It relaxes the muscles and improves movement of food. This helps to treat cramps, pain, bloating and discomfort. Hikin Injection is given by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered. Take a fiber-rich diet, avoid oily or spicy food and drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated. In Treatment of Irritable bowel syndrome Irritable bowel syndrome is a chronic (long-term) inflammatory disease of the large intestine (colon) that usually needs long term management. This can lead to bleeding, frequent diarrhea, bloating, flatulence, cramps and stomach pain. Hikin Injection relaxes the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine) and relieves these symptoms effectively. Usually, it is used along with other medicines for management of your condition.

Description: Hikin Injection is used in the treatment of pain due to smooth muscle spasm. It relieves cramps in the stomach, intestine, bladder, and ureter. It is also be used to relieve the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (symptoms include abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, and diarrhea or constipation). Hikin Injection is generally administered by your doctor or nurse. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early, your symptoms may come back, and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are blurred vision, increased heart rate, dryness in the mouth, and dilatation of the pupil. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness. Pregnant women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Hikin Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver and kidney disease or alcohol abuse.
How to Use: Hikin Injection is an anticholinergic medication. It works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.
Safety Advice: - Alcohol : UNSAFE - Hikin Injection may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol. - Pregnancy : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Hikin Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor. - Breast feeding : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Hikin Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Single dose is unlikely to interfere with breastfeeding, milk secretion may decrease during long-term use. - Driving : UNSAFE - Hikin Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. - Kidney : CAUTION - Hikin Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Hikin Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor. - Liver : CAUTION - Hikin Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Hikin Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
If Missed: If you miss a dose of Hikin Injection, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
