Introduction: In Cancer Ifomid M 400mg/2gm Injection is a combination of two medicines Ifomaside and Mesna. It is used to treat various cancers such as testicular cancer, bladder cancer, lung cancer, cancer of the ovaries (cancer that begins in the female reproductive organs where eggs are formed), cancer of the cervix, and cancer that forms in muscles and bones. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. Mesna present in Ifomid M 400mg/2gm Injection reduces the risk of inflammation and bleeding of the bladder which is a very serious side effect of treatment with Ifosfamide. Drink at least 1-2 litres of water every 24 hours during the treatment process to stay hydrated.

Description: Ifomid M 400mg/2gm Injection is a prescription medicine which is a combination of two medicines that are used in cancer treatment. It prevents the growth and multiplication of cancer cells, thus helps in destroying the tumor. Ifomid M 400mg/2gm Injection injection is administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional. You are not advised to self administer this injection. Inform your doctor if you have any known allergy from this medication. The common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, hair loss, low number of blood cells (anemia) and decreases in white blood cell count. The doctor may ask you to undergo a few blood tests before or during the treatment. Your doctor may prescribe you to undergo blood tests before or during the treatment. You may be given supplements to overcome the deficiency caused by this medicine. It is advised to add more vegetables and fruits in your diet to overcome any such deficiency. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Also, inform your doctor if you are suffering from any disease. It is advised to avoid the intake of alcohol while taking this medicine. It is strictly advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery while you are on the treatment.
How to Use: Ifomid M 400mg/2gm Injection is a combination of two medicines: Mesna and Ifosfamide. Mesna is an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA) of the cancer cells and stops their growth and multiplication. Ifosfamide is a cytoprotective medicine which is added to reduce the risk of bleeding and swelling in the bladder caused by Mesna.

However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor. - Breast feeding : UNSAFE - Ifomid M 400mg/2gm Injection is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby. - Driving : UNSAFE - Ifomid M 400mg/2gm Injection may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. - Kidney : CAUTION - Ifomid M 400mg/2gm Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease.
