This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may cause nausea and anxiety. Side effects of this medicine include sleepiness, headache, nasal discomfort, throat irritation, and rhinorrhea (runny nose). Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. These side effects are usually short-lasting and resolve on their own. How to Use: Medistat 0.5mg Nasal Spray is a benzodiazepine (BZD). It is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream through the inner lining of the nose. Once absorbed, it works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger that suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. This helps the patient to recover from a seizure faster.

If Missed: If you miss a dose of Medistat 0.5mg Nasal Spray, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
