Introduction: In Respiratory tract infection Respiratory tract infections are those infections that can affect the sinuses, throat, airways or lungs. Mycocin 250 mg/4 mg Injection contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Bromhexine, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause respiratory tract infections. Amoxycillin helps in stopping the growth of bacteria. Bromhexine helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It also enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against the infection-causing bacteria. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

It treats the infection and prevents further infections by acting against the microorganisms. It also reduces the viscosity of the mucus (phlegm) for easy cough out. Mycocin 250 mg/4 mg Injection should only be administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Do not miss any scheduled appointments for taking this medicine. The course of the medicine should be completed even if you feel better. The common side effects of this medicine are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rashes, etc. You may also experience injection site redness, swelling, and pain that goes away with time. If any of the side effects get aggravated, you must consult your doctor immediately. If you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.), you must seek immediate medical help. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are taking any medicines for any health condition. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult with their doctor before taking it. Avoid drinking alcohol as it can cause excessive drowsiness with this medicine. It usually does not impair your ability to drive, but you should not drive if it makes you feel sleepy or dizzy.

How to Use: Mycocin 250 mg/4 mg Injection is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Bromhexine which treat respiratory tract infections associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Amoxycillin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Addition of Bromhexine enhances the antibacterial effect of Amoxycillin.

Please consult your doctor. - Driving : UNSAFE - Mycocin 250 mg/4 mg Injection may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
