Introduction: In Respiratory tract infection Respiratory tract infections are those infections that can affect the sinuses, throat, airways or lungs. Mycocin Forte Capsule contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Bromhexine, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause respiratory tract infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Bromhexine helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It also enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

Description: Mycocin Forte Capsule is a combination medicine that is prescribed to treat various types of respiratory infections. It treats the infection and prevents further infections by acting against the microorganisms. It also reduces the viscosity of the mucus (phlegm) for easy cough out. Mycocin Forte Capsule is a prescription medicine. It is advised to take it as per the prescription. It can be taken with or without food, but it must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The treatment must be completed even if you feel better. The common side effects of this medicine are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rashes, etc. If any of the side effects get aggravated, you must consult your doctor immediately. If you experience any allergic reactions like rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc. then you must seek immediate medical help. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are taking any medicines for any health condition. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult with their doctor before taking it. Avoid drinking alcohol as it can cause excessive drowsiness with this medicine. It usually does not impair your ability to drive, but you should not drive if it makes you feel sleepy or dizzy.

How to Use: Mycocin Forte Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Bromhexine which treat respiratory tract infections associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Amoxycillin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Addition of Bromhexine enhances the antibacterial effect of Amoxycillin.

Please consult your doctor. - Pregnancy : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Mycocin Forte Capsule is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. - Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Information regarding the use of Mycocin Forte Capsule during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor. - Driving : UNSAFE - Mycocin Forte Capsule may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Mycocin Forte Capsule can have side effects and the symptoms (such as allergic reactions, dizziness and convulsions) may make you unfit to drive. - Kidney : CAUTION - Mycocin Forte Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mycocin Forte Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. - Liver : CAUTION - Mycocin Forte Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mycocin Forte Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of liver function tests is recommended while you are taking this medicine

If Missed: If you miss a dose of Mycocin Forte Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
