Novamox AX Tablet contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Ambroxol, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause respiratory tract infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Ambroxol helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It also enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

How to Use: Novamox AX Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Ambroxol which treat respiratory tract infections associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Amoxycillin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Addition of Ambroxol enhances the antibacterial effect of Amoxycillin.
Safety Advice: If you miss a dose of Novamox AX Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
