It stops the growth of bacteria causing infection and helps relieve pain, swelling, redness, itching, or irritation in the eyes or ear. It also adds moisture to the eyes or ears and reduces dryness and burning sensation. Make sure you complete the full course of treatment. This will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning.

Use it regularly to get the most benefit. The course of the medicine should be completed even if you feel better. You must wash your hands before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. The most common side effects of it are eye/ear irritation, eye/ear discomfort, and burning sensation. These are usually mild and short-lived. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects persist or worry you. However, if you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.), you must seek immediate medical help. How to Use: Ofrivid-DX Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of three medicines: Ofloxacin, Dexamethasone, and Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye/ear red, swollen and itchy. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricating formulation which moistens the eyes/ears.

If Missed: If you miss a dose of Ofrivid-DX Eye/Ear Drops, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
