It can take 6 months or longer after radiation therapy ends for the salivary glands to start producing saliva again. Salitol Tablet helps to increase the secretions of body fluids, particularly saliva and this helps to improve dry mouth due to radiation therapy. Take it as prescribed by the doctor to get the most benefit.

Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to get the maximum benefit from the medicine. Continue taking the medicine even if you get better unless the doctor tells you to stop taking it. It is generally safe and does not usually cause any common side effects.
How to Use: Xylitol tastes sweet but, unlike sugar, it is not converted in the mouth to acids that cause tooth decay. It reduces levels of decay-causing bacteria in saliva and also acts against some bacteria that cause tooth infections.

Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. - Kidney : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - There is limited information available on the use of Salitol Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor. - Liver : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - There is limited information available on the use of Salitol Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
If Missed: If you miss a dose of Salitol Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
