Introduction: In Treatment of Bacterial infections Tixi LB 50mg Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine. It is commonly given to children to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including infections of the eyes, middle ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, bone and joints, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. This medicine inhibits the growth of infection-causing bacteria by stopping it from multiplying. Children usually start showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of the regular dosing. You must continue giving the medicine even after seeing this improvement because stopping the medicine abruptly may worsen your child’s condition or cause infection recurrence.

How to Use: Tixi LB 50mg Dry Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Cefixime and Lactobacillus. Cefixime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Lactobacillus is a live micro-organism that restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset with antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.

Safety Advice: - Kidney : CAUTION - Tixi LB 50mg Dry Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tixi LB 50mg Dry Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor. - Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Tixi LB 50mg Dry Syrup is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Tixi LB 50mg Dry Syrup is recommended. However, consult with your child’s doctor before giving Tixi LB 50mg Dry Syrup to your child in case of a severe form of liver disease.
