Some of the common side effects of this medicine include nausea, stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, dizziness, weakness, and sleepiness. If any of these side effects bother you or do not go away with time, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects. The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, and liver. To make sure it is safe for you, let your doctor also know all the other medicines you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors before using this medicine as it may cause harm to the developing baby.
How to Use: Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ibuprofen and Tizanidine which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant. It works by acting on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.
Safety Advice: - Alcohol : UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet. - Pregnancy : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor. - Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. - Driving : UNSAFE - Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. - Kidney : CAUTION - Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. - Liver : CAUTION - Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet is not advised in patients with severe liver disease. Liver function tests are recommended before the start of treatment and then on a regular basis as advised.
If Missed: If you miss a dose of Tizapam 400 mg/2 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
