Introduction: In Skin infections Topisone G Cream is a combination of medicines used to treat skin infections caused by microorganisms such as bacteria. It works by killing and stopping the growth of infection causing microorganisms, thereby clearing the infection and relieving the symptoms. It also blocks the release of chemicals that cause symptoms such as itching, redness and swelling. Therefore this medicine relieves the inflammation due to these infections. You should use this medicine for as long as it is prescribed, even if your symptoms disappear, otherwise they may come back. Depending on the type of infection you are treating, this may be several weeks. Even after your skin is completely cured, you may have to apply it occasionally to prevent the symptoms from returning.

Benefits: This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Do not stop using it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. If you stop using this medicine too early, the fungus may continue to grow and the infection may return or worsen. Some common side effects of this medicine include application site reactions burning, irritation, itching and redness. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days. Avoid direct contact with eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

How to Use: Topisone G Cream is a combination of two medicines: Clobetasone and Gentamicin which treat skin infections. Clobetasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Gentamicin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
