If you apply a large amount, your body may absorb too much of the medicine and cause some side effects. On application, it may cause numbness or application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness. These are temporary and usually resolve with time. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration or get worse. Avoid direct contact with your eyes or mouth. In the case of direct contact, wash them thoroughly with plenty of water.

Sucralfate is an ulcer medication which covers the damaged tissue and protects it against injury to facilitate healing.

Safety Advice: If you miss a dose of Ulcoat Ano Rectal Cream, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
