You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. The most common side effects of this medicine include headache, increase in blood pressure and seizure. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. Generally, alcohol should be avoided while taking this medicine. Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have ever had heart disease or you have high blood pressure. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works.
How to Use: Wergomet 0.125mg Tablet is an ergot alkaloid. It works by causing sustained contractions of the smooth muscles of the uterus. This results in compression of the blood vessels which controls bleeding after delivery.

Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby. - Breast feeding : CAUTION - Wergomet 0.125mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body. - Driving : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - It is not known whether Wergomet 0.125mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. - Kidney : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - There is limited information available on the use of Wergomet 0.125mg Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor. - Liver : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - There is limited information available on the use of Wergomet 0.125mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
If Missed: If you miss a dose of Wergomet 0.125mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
